A Palestinian man goes to a narrow alley in a red cap in the Old Town of Nablus to a group of Israeli soldiers, clearly naked.
He tries to talk to the soldiers who had gone into the occupied West Coast in early hours as part of Israel’s latest military raid – it is probably the biggest thing that was done in Nablus for two years.
Soldiers immediately beat and beat the man-40-year-old Nidal Umairu-before his brother walks, trying to intervene. The gun is followed, and soon both brothers are sleeping dead.

Nidal and his brother’s 35 -year -old Khaled were the last victims of Israel in the West Bank after they were killed on Tuesday. Witnesses were steadfast that the behavior of Israeli soldiers was an unnecessary escalation that led to even more Palestinian death.
Ghassan Hamdan, director of the Palestinian Medical Assistance Society, was located at the murders.
“There were at least 12 soldiers, and they all immediately fired their automatic machine guns,” said Hamdan.

“We all covered the walls of the Old Town,” he told Al Jazeera.
Feldsher Hamza Abu Hajar said Umairah’s brother, who had initially approached Israeli soldiers, had tried to go to his home to take his family and away from the Israeli raid.
“They lifted his shirt up to prove he was naked,” said Abu Hajar. “Then they started shooting at him and on us.”
The Israeli army said it was acting in self -defense after one of the brothers Umairah tried to grab a weapon from a soldier. It says four soldiers were injured in the incident.
West Coast raids
The raid in Nablus, which lasted more than 24 hours, is the latest Israel that the West Bank has done.
Since October 2023, Israel has used the world’s concentration on his war against Gaza to increase theft of its land and violence in the West Bank.
During this time, Israel has killed at least 930 people in the West Bank, 24 of whom were from Nablus, the United Nations Office reports on the coordination of humanitarian affairs (Ocha).

The young people in the city protested by burning tires and throwing stones in the Israeli troops, but were greeted with heavy tear gas, injuring at least 80 Palestinians in the raid.
In the past, Palestinian protesters have been imprisoned for “terrorism” accusations or shot and killed that they simply resisted the occupation of Israel, throwing rocks or challenging Israeli soldiers.
This time, the Israelis classified the entire Old Town in the Nablus as a closed military zone for 24 hours. No ambulance cars or medics were allowed inside to help people in trouble, Hamdan said.
“No one was allowed or out. No one was allowed any movement.
Attack and vandalism
During the raid, Israeli troops invaded several apartments after blowing at the door hinges with explosives.
Umm Hassan,* A 58 -year -old resident who did not want to give his name, reminds me that she was scared when several Israeli soldiers broke into her home.

Another woman Rola*said Israeli soldiers had twice invaded her at home within six hours during the raid.
When Israel’s soldiers returned the second time, Rola said they attacked her older father, beating him on his head and chest with their arms.
Rola described their three niece and nephews – all the little children – with fear, as Israeli soldiers vandalized and destroyed their homes.
“The second time they arrived at our home, they put us all in the room, and we couldn’t leave the room from 8:00 to 3:30 pm,” Rola said.
“We (Palestinians) are always talking about endurance. But in reality, Israeli soldiers come to your private home, then you are very scared. It’s natural. We are human and people are scared,” she told Al Jazeera.
Psychological war
More than 80 Palestinian raids were treated from the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, 25 of them as a result of shots.
While Israel says its raid was “accurate”, Nablus residents say the attack on the city was the last attempt to intimidate and frighten the Palestinians.
“To be honest, what Israel’s soldiers were looking for in my home? What did they think they would find?” asked Rola. “Their raid (violence) is caused by (maintaining (illegal) occupation.”
