Photographer Thomas Van Houtryve presents 36 views of Notre-Dame

As the world sees the re-opening of Notre Dame this weekend, one of those who had access to the Gothic church during its restoration has expressed his pleasure in documenting the progress over the past five years. Photographer Thomas Van Houtreeve managed to negotiate special access to Notre Dame Cathedral during its reconstruction as part of the “Rebatir Notre Dame de Paris” or “Rebuilding Notre Dame de Paris” project and National Geographic. His pictures are now exhibited at the Gallerie Miranda in Paris and published in the book – 36 Views of Notre Dame. He spoke to us in Perspective.
