Canada, along with four other countries, is officially sanctioned by two Israel ministers for comments, which they believe are “incitement to Palestinian communities.”
Sanctions were announced on Tuesday by Canadian Foreign Ministers, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and Norway.
Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich will see both his active frozen and faced travel bans.
Both men face sanctions for “responsible for activities related to the rights of non -cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or soda, are serious of the rights of persons, especially aggression and violence, is a serious abuse of Palestinian persons on the West Bank.”
“These two individuals contributed to extremist colonists’ violence and have to stop,” said Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Ananda on Tuesday afternoon. “I will add that they are members of the Netanyahu government, they are not members of his party, but rather coalition partners from extreme right -wing parties.”
A joint statement provided by Global Affairs Canada states that Ben-Gvir and Smotrich’s actions are unacceptable, which is why countries have acted to hold the responsibility.
“Itamar Ben-Gvir and Salel Smotrich have encouraged extremist violence and serious violations of Palestinian human rights,” says the common statement by Canada’s global affairs.

British Foreign Minister David Lammy has previously condemned Smotrica’s comments on possible cleaning and destruction of Gaza and moving its citizens to third countries.
He described the comments as “extremism”, while also calling it “dangerous” and “terrible”.
Both Israeli ministers have repeatedly stabbed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, calling for permanent gaza conquering and restoring Jewish settlements where Israel was abandoned in 2005.
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saarar Tuesday called “terrible” and said the government would hold a special meeting at the beginning of next week to decide on an answer.
Smotrich spoke of “contempt” about Britain’s direction in particular.
“Britain has already tried to prevent us from settling the cradle of our homeland once, and we cannot do it again. We are a committed God who wants to continue to build,” said Smotrich.
US Secretary of State Marko Rubio also condemned the march.
“These sanctions do not encourage US -led efforts to reach a ceasefire, bring all hostages home and end the war,” he said in a statement. “We reject any concept of equivalence: Hamas is a terrorist organization that committed inexhaustible atrocities, continues to hold innocent civilians hostages and prevents the people of Gaza from living in peace.
“We remind our partners not to forget who the real enemy is. The United States encourages change of sanctions and stand shoulder to shoulder with Israel.”
However, the joint announcement on Tuesday seems to emphasize the “steadfast support” of countries for Israeli security remains and condemned the attack on Hamas on October 7, 2023.
“Today’s events are aimed at individuals who, in our opinion, undermine the security of Israel itself and its state of the world,” the statement reads. “We continue to wish a strong friendship with Israeli people based on our common links, values and commitment to their safety and future.”
Five countries are moving as the United Kingdom and other European countries have forced Netanyahu to end support blocking in Gaza. The statement states that they will try to provide immediate ceasefire, the release of the remaining hostages and “the smooth flow of humanitarian aid, including food”.
Prime Minister Mark Carney joined British and French leaders last month, warning of the consequences, unless Israel prevents greater humanitarian aid in Gaza. Karney has not indicated what actions could be taken if Israel did not match.
