Viswashkumar ramesh, the only Boeing 787 aircraft crash surviving, said he was a witness that other passengers were dying.
The only survivor of Air India’s airplane emergency says he couldn’t believe he made it alive after he escaped from a broken emergency exit in a deadly accident that killed 241 people.
Shortly after Thursday’s emergency, social media materials showed that Viswashkumar Ramesh is lame along the street with blood-painted T-shirt and bruises on the body.
A British citizen was sitting in the seat 11a on the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, who flew to London when the plane crashed into a medical college hostel after taking off from the northwestern city of Ahmedabad.
40 -year -old Ramesh said on Friday, Indian National Broadcasting DD News from his hospital’s bed that he said he would “die.”
“But when I opened my eyes, I realized I was alive and I tried to disconnect myself from the seat and escape the place where I could.
He traveled with his brother Ajaja, who was sitting in another queue, said his family members.
“The side of the plane I was on the ground and I saw there was a place outside the aircraft, so when my door broke, I tried to escape it and I did it,” Ramesh said.
“The opposite side of the aircraft blocked the wall of the building so no one could come out of there,” he added.
He explained that the plane seemed to have stopped for a few seconds for a few seconds shortly after taking off and felt the engine’s traction, which later “crashed into the hostel.”
Ramesh cousin Hiren Kantilal, 19, told AFP news agency that after the crash, he called his family in Leicester, Eastern Middend, in England to tell them he was alive.
“Our airplane has crashed,” Ramesh told his father, his cousin said.
“He bleed all over him, on his face and everything, and he said, ‘I’m just waiting for my brother and I don’t know how I got off the plane. “
“He said, ‘Don’t worry about me, try to find Ajay Kumar” and he said, “I’m fine. “
The cantilal said his cousin had spent about 10 to 15 minutes in search of his brother, and then the rescue services wiped him in the hospital.
“We are happy that Vishplash is rescued, but on the other hand, we are just heart -breaking about Ajay,” he told AFP.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the crash site on Friday and met at Rameta Hospital.
Rescue workers continued to look for missing people and aircraft parts on Friday after a worst aviation crash within ten years.
