The Alaydi family now pays for food using money sent from a relative living abroad. Near Gaza, Aya Ehab Zaid has led its soup cuisine. Zaid has documented his life during the war in social media. She said she received donations online to feed her family and others. Despite being moved more than 15 times, Zaid said she was committed to continuing to present food to the public.
