Protests during the upcoming G7 Summit during Kananaskis, ALTA, may be extremely different from demonstrations this week against suppressing immigration in the United States.
The Toronto University Research Group, which has been supervising world leaders since 1998, says its analysis shows that Canadian protests are calmer and smaller – but like recent demonstrations in Los Angeles, they are likely to contradict the policy of US President Donald Trump.
“Los Angeles protests will add another (problem). The protesters who go there are already concerned, but it won’t do much more,” said John Kirton, director of the G7 research group.
“I don’t think it will bring more protesters either. La protests will also hinder Trump here.”
Prime Minister Mark Carnie welcomes Trump and world leaders from France, Germany, Japan, the United Kingdom, the Italian and the European Union at the top three days on Sunday in the rocky mountains to Southwest of Calgary.
It is also planned to visit non -members, including India, Ukraine and Mexico.
Military aircraft have been frequent visitors to the sky above the Calgary, using the G7 Summit, including this US Sea Osprey aircraft, which were noticed on Thursday at Calgary International Airport.

The summit occurs when protests in the United States continue against Trump’s immigration raids, especially the arrest of his government migrants.

In Albert, Kirton said protests are not expected to be the same during the G7.
“(G7) The different mission at the outset was to advertise open democracy values in its members,” he said. “In democracies, people should protest. It is an integral part.”
The Canadian government is unlikely to respond to all clashes, such as Trump, by calling the military, Kirton added.
The remote kanbanquet place where the top is organized will be closed to the public.
The G7 Summit Security Forces include members of RCMP, Calgary Police, Albert Sheriff, wildlife officers and Canadian armed forces – everyone who has been involved in extensive training in recent weeks.

“We plan to sing,” said the retired teacher. One of their songs in the selection is “The US, you have a problem”.
The song is called “Orange Lasi,” says he is a “way out of the line,” and announces that “our sovereign nation will never be yours,” said Oxendale-Spensley.
The fact that Trump hears their message is vital, she said, even if it is on the screen.
“I’m a Canadian. When I was born, I was a Canadian. I plan to be a Canadian when I die.”
It’s hard to say how many grandmothers will be in the protest, she added. “My big complaint about grandmothers is always that we are grandmothers. People get sick, people break their ankle, such things.”
Kirton said the protests at the last G7 summit, Kananaski was calm in 2002, Kirton said, as certain zones were also given to demonstrators.
“I remember it very much that it was very hot,” Kirton said, and there were not many protesters.
“There were so few of them and it was so calm that we didn’t even worry about appreciating the number.”
Police motorsport involved in training exercises is often spotted in the streets of Calgary during the week before the G7 summit.

Some of the protests against Trump are expected to address other issues, such as calling for the end of the Israel-Hamas war and the Russian war in Ukraine, Kirton said.
Kirton said he also anticipates the presence of Canadians who want Alberta to separate from Canada, as well as those who objected to Indian Prime Minister Narendra fashion.

Medies said the first reactors were prepared for protests.
“Although the number of participants may vary, we have a strong understanding of the situation about the expected demonstrations and we are well placed to respond accordingly,” said Fraser Logan, a RCMP spokesman.
