Syrian rebels surround the main city of Hama on “three sides”, war observers say

Islamist-led Syrian rebels surrounded the key city of Hama “from three sides” on Wednesday, continuing their offensive into government-held territory. It is the latest rebel victory since last week’s takeover of the country’s second city, Aleppo, which had never fully fallen from government hands in more than a decade of war.
